David Lough
Director

After graduating from Oxford University in History and Modern Languages, David specialised in shipping and then international investment banking, spending some time in Japan, Hong Kong and Australia, before becoming a Managing Director of County Natwest Investment Bank. 

He joined Cripps Harries Hall in 1988 in a joint venture to establish the business that has now evolved into Heartwood.  David was first Director then Managing Director of Cripps Harries Hall's Finance and Investment Services Division.  On demerger from Cripps Harries Hall in late 2001, David was appointed as Chief Executive of Cripps Portfolio, which rebranded as Heartwood Wealth Management following a successful MBO in December 2005. Following the twenty year anniversary of Heartwood, David will become Chairman from March 2009.

David has provided investment and financial advice to private clients and their families for many years.

David founded and was Chairman of the Association of Solicitors Investment Managers in 1993-1996 and served as a Director until 1998.  He is a Fellow of the Securities Institute. 

Charitable interests include Fairbridge in Kent, Temple Grove School Trust Ltd and Beckett's Trust.
