John Heskett
Chairman, Heartwood Wealth Group Limited

A qualified accountant, John spent 30 years working in the Baring Group, initially in the fields of corporate finance and banking, both in London and the Far East. For the last 20 years up until his retirement in 2002, he worked in investment management. In this capacity, he was a founding member of the Baring Asset Management board and was responsible for fixed income and balanced portfolio management, and the management of portfolios for leading institutions in the UK, USA and elsewhere. He headed Baring Asset Management's sales and business development function from 1997 to 2002.

John joined us as a non-executive director and investment consultant in 2002.

In the charitable world, John is a director of the Intermediate Technological Development Group Limited/Practical Action, which aims to eradicate poverty in developing countries, and sits on the investment committees of Imperial College, London University and the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association.
