Services

Our investment services cover all aspects of portfolio management and administration, including:

• Custody of portfolio assets
• Accounting for income and capital movements
• Managing responses to rights issues, takeovers and merges
• Management of Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and Personal Equity Plans (PEPs), where Heartwood is the fund manager.
• Where appropriate, regular discussions with the client regarding strategy

We also provide half-yearly portfolio statements which comprise:

• An investment report detailing changes to a portfolio and a clear statement of our current investment thinking
• A valuation clearly showing changes in value over the reporting period together with a summary of changes to the portfolio
• An annual tax administation package for the client or their nominated adviser.

Charges

The details shown summarise the current fees and commission structure for discretionary portfolios that we manage.  Details of charges (including for our other investment services) are available on request.

Annual management fee:

First £1,000,000                             1.00%
Next £1,500,000                             0.75%
Thereafter                                     0.50%
Charged quarterly in arrears.

Transaction charges:

Dealing commission - the following scale will apply to all securities:
Minimum charge                              £50
On the first £15,000                        0.50%
Thereafter                                     0.35%

Overseas securities movement:
An additional charge of £40 will apply to all deals in overseas securities in key centres and a charge of 0.20% p.a. of the value of investments held overseas (minimum of £5 per quarter per holding) will be made to cover the additional custody costs associated with such holdings.  This will be deductible quarterly from the portfolio cash deposit.

VAT is applicable to management fees.  Dealing commissions are exempt from VAT currently. Heartwood's VAT number: 862883778
