Our advice on packaged products

Where appropriate we are able to offer our investment strategies wrapped within an investment fund.  These investment funds are operated by third parties who have appointed Heartwood as the Investment Manager.  If we believe that one or more of these funds are suitable for you, we may hold the fund(s) within a discretionary portfolio on your behalf.  These funds in turn may be invested in funds managed by third parties and include investments in other asset classes selected by us from the whole of the market.

There may be circumstances when an investment fund wrapper is not appropriate for clients, in which case we can offer portfolio management based on a selection of funds or other types of investments from the whole of the market.

When we advise on packaged products in relation to pensions or outside an investment management relationship, we will recommend products chosen from a limited selection of providers that we have chosen on the basis of our belief in their quality of service, investor protection, financial strength and if relevant, their investment performance.

Compensation

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Clients may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if Heartwood cannot meet its obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Most types of investment business are covered for 100% of the first £50,000.
